Director and Senior Occupational Hygienist, Richard Krentz is a Certified Industrial Hygienist with over 35 years professional experience in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental, and Safety Engineering.
Mr. Krentz has always stressed the importance of providing practical, fiscally-responsible, and effective strategies to the broad range of occupational health and safety issues that our clientele might encounter. Equally important to this motto is the ability to effectively communicate the findings and solutions to those in the boardroom as well as those workers in the field.
This corporate standard is integral in the success of NorthStar Occupational Hygiene & Safety - in its ability to provide professional services in an ethical and responsive manner and to build trusting, long-term relationships with our clients.
Mr. Krentz has developed numerous safety compliance programs such as: Exposure Control Plans, Injury and Illness prevention, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, Fungal Remediation Protocols/Workplans, Confined Space Entry, and Lockout/Tagout. With over 1000 site-specific health and safety plans developed; Mr. Krentz can undertake any challenge.

Ryan is a Senior Occupational Hygienist with NorthStar Occupational Hygiene & Safety Ltd. A Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH) and Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Ryan has over fifteen years of experience in exposure assessment and industrial hygiene projects and continues to enjoy working with new clients and in new industries to assist in providing practical recommendations to address their occupational hygiene needs.
Being fortunate to have had a strong mentor early in his career, one of Ryan’s current highlights is being able to work with and mentor newer and less experienced future hygienists. As a co-founder of NorthStar, one of the founding principles was to build a company focused on training, developing, and retaining emerging occupational hygienists. Ryan and his co-founder have built a model that allows, and expects, senior hygienists to spend time in the field working alongside junior colleagues and providing mentorship and training.
